I am a partner with Watershed Consulting LLC, based in Missoula, Montana. We specialize in bridging the gap between current ecologic concepts and on-the-ground application. I have been a practicing restoration ecologist, forester, and soil scientist for 35 years. Some elements of our work include biophysical assessments, project design and implementation, land management and stewardship, soil disturbance evaluations and business leadership. We have managed over 150 forest restoration projects, 80 stream and riparian enhancement projects, many prescribed burns, and thousands of acres of severe disturbance restoration. We have authored over 30 soil specialist reports for the U.S. Forest Service. I developed 3 region-specific revegetation manuals. We founded a rough-cut sawmill and manage a native plant nursery. I am also an ISA certified arborist and USDA certified soil scientist. I enjoy teaching and spends a good amount of time passing down skills to the next generation.
