Pancreatic Cancer Diagnostic Development

Pain, weight loss, exhaustion, and an increase in stomach fluid are warning indicators of pancreatic cancer. When a patient reports experiencing these symptoms, they are often evaluated using physical examinations, blood tests, ultrasounds, and X-rays. Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and computed tomography (CT scan) are utilized to help assess the tumor's resectability as well as to confirm the diagnosis. Other options include positron emission tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). A biopsy is carried out to confirm the diagnosis if a pancreatic mass is found, which increases the possibility of pancreatic cancer.
