Terra Preta is a man made super soil that spurs the growth of healthy plants, adds carbon back into soils, sequesters atmospheric carbon, hosts beneficial bacteria and fungi, shuttles nutrients, and retains water but releasing it to plants if the soil dries out, thus helping to mitigate drought conditions.
